Accessibility Statement

ExtraCare is responsible for establishing and operating the website https://extracare.co.il. We place great importance on providing equal service to all users and on improving the service provided to people with disabilities.

We invest significant resources in making our website and digital assets accessible, in order to make the company’s services more available to people with disabilities.

In Israel, about 20 percent of the population are people with disabilities who need digital accessibility in order to access information and general services.

ExtraCare’s website accessibility is intended to make it accessible, user-friendly and easier to use for people with special needs, arising among other things from various motor disabilities,

cognitive impairments, low vision, blindness or color blindness, hearing impairments, as well as older adults.

The accessibility of this website was implemented by the web accessibility company “Vee Web Accessibility”.

Website accessibility level – AA

Vee has adapted the website’s accessibility to common browsers and to mobile phone use as far as possible, and used Jaws and NVDA screen readers in its testing.

It complies with the requirements of the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773-2013, at level AA, in accordance with Israeli Standard IS 5568, which is based on the W3C’s WCAG 2.0 guidelines.

Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0

The website was made accessible in accordance with the guidelines of the Israeli Government ICT Authority for accessibility of applications in web browsers.

How do I switch to accessible mode?

An accessibility icon is placed on the website (usually on the side of the page). Clicking the icon opens the accessibility menu. After selecting the desired function in the menu, wait for the page to load and for the requested display change to take effect (if needed).

To cancel the action, click the function in the menu a second time. In any case, you can reset the accessibility settings.

The software works in popular browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Opera, subject to the manufacturers’ terms. Browsing in accessible mode is recommended in Chrome.

The website provides a semantic structure for assistive technologies and supports the standard keyboard usage pattern, using the arrow keys, Enter, and Esc to exit menus and windows.

For the best browsing experience with screen-reading software, we recommend using the latest version of NVDA.
